Spending time with family in Hamilton.

My papa called out “Come on jump in the van, it’s time to go now!”

Yaaay! My brother and I cried.

Even though we had only driven down the end of the driveway we were completely filled with joy and were really excited.

A few hours later we arrived in Hamilton after 3:00pm when school had just finished. We drove through a street hoping to see my brother and sister walking home from school. I saw them walking through an alleyway and I yelled out from the window “HELLO!” I was jumping for joy! When I saw them.

Driving up the driveway and everyone came rushing out the door for a BIG HUG!. I walked inside and sat down on my sister's bed talking about school and work. We were all happy and enjoying ourselves all through the time we had spent with them.

The funnest time with my brothers, sister and cousins was when we went swimming in the cold, deep, big and fabulous! Pool out in the yard. It was burning hot in Hamilton and we were very lucky to have a swimming pool. I was so overjoyed with spending time with my family.

It was friday when my uncle earned his bachelor's degree we were all happy and proud of him, and to celebrate my uncle’s graduation we had a big feed of underground cooked to perfection Hangi!. We also had a box Of the most popular Mama’s Donuts and also a box of freshly cooked cream filled Donuts with a dollop of strawberry jam on top!.

After that my two older brothers my sister, Zephaniah and I walked to the Maeroa Dairy just down the road from home and bought us lots of goodies. There was a variety of things to choose from and I bought me lollies and chips!. It was fun spending money at the dairy. We happily strolled home holding all our goodies.

For the rest of the day we swam, jumped on the tramp, played sports on the field across the road and helped ourselves to the best cooked Hangi.

During the night as it got darker we played board games,  listen to music and watched tv and movies eating our goodies and sweets. It was really fun!.

When we woke up early in the morning the next day it was time for us to travel back home to Kaikohe. We gave each other BIG! Hugs! And Kisses! And waved out goodbye. Me and my family had a great time in Hamilton with my uncle, aunty, cousins, my two older brothers and also my sister.

It was the best time EVER! And I can’t wait to spend more time with them again.
